Today at school was the matric Valedictory…now I am not in matric, nor was I at the service, but it got me thinking about time. That will be me in 2 years time and that seems like a long time but when I think back of the past two years, it seems that the time is slipping away and no matter how hard I try, I can’t get a firm grasp on it. This scares me. School is all I know and all I have known for the past 10 or so years. I am not ready to leave that behind just yet. I wish I had more time. 

This feeling was further initiated by me watching Titanic. Although yes, there is a love story and it’s all very soppy, there is a real message to it that I saw today: never waste time. Make memories even if they are at random places. Jack and Rose met each other and two days later, Jack died. Rose never got to say her goodbyes and neither did Jack. They didn’t have enough time.

I don’t know when I’m going to die. It could be just now, or next week or in 50 years…that scares me..I don’t know if I will have enough time to tell those around me how much I tru,y love and cherish them.

 But I will start now.

So who am I????Well that is the big question isn’t it? Well, the truth is: I don’t know. I could be your best friend or your worst enemy. I could be a total bitch or an angel. The only person who knows for sure is God and He’s not about to tell me. Here’s what I know for now: I am 16. I have a huge passion for music, film and books. My music taste ranges from country to rock and my movie taste ranges from horror to animation. I don’t know the limits to my imagination and I don’t know if I ever will.

So you won’t be able to understand me, but only because even I don’t understand me…but you know what?? I don’t mind. Where’s the fun and the mystery in something if you understand it?? I prefer to stay a mystery…

So for now I am going to cherish my memories and live for today and enjoy my life to the fullest that I can….after all, it’s the only one I have…
